In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an unique katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Addition

This update also introduces the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
